Visa proccess for internship in Spain
My name is Valentina and I am a placement coordinator in Worldwide Intern
ships. Three months ago, I was in the Support team, which is in charge of all about the visa process and support before and during worldwide internships.
The visa process for Spain has to be extremely good otherwise, you are in risk of a possible visa rejection. On the purpose of your travel to Spain, there are different types of visas that will apply to the occasion. Whether you are planning to go on a visit, study or work and reside there permanently, you will have to apply for a different Schengen Visa, accordingly.
For the Spain Internship program, you must apply for an educational visa. It might take several weeks or even months. Consider having every required document ready to speed the process.Contact your support coordinator for further questions.
Documents required for Student Visa are:
- Internship contract, signed by the candidate, the university, and the host company (Provided by your coordinator)
- Acceptance letter from the host company (Provided by your coordinator)
- Completed application form (Ask your coordinator)
- 2 passport size photos
- Insurance Policy (Provided by your coordinator)
- Proof of insurance payment (Ask your coordinator)
- Original passport and one copy of the information page
- National ID and one copy both sides
- Bank Statements for the last 3 months (at least 11,500MXN in personal account and 40’000MXN if it is from one family member) *ONLY MEXICO*
- Medical checkup certificate
- No criminal record letter

Keep in mind that other items may be required, also it depends on your home country and the embassy that you are going to apply. It is always a good idea to check with the Embassy before your planned a departure to ensure that you have met all of the requirements to travel to Spain (Don’t buy your flight until you get your visa).
Remember once you finish this process, you will start one of the best experiences in your life!
