In 2008, our founder, Daniel Reyes, was on an exchange student in Japan. There, he realized that most European students had work experience from internships abroad, which made a significant difference in their performance. In 2009, he began searching for internships around the world and landed a job at a technology company in Vancouver. During his internship, he worked in marketing and recruiting, where he also helped host more than 10 students for internships at the company.

At the end of his stay, he realized there was no platform to help students find internships, provide support with the visa process, or help finding accommodation when settling abroad.

Upon his return from Canada, other students asked him for advice on finding internships, and little by little, that support grew into a company. Today, 15 years later, Worldwide Internships has successfully placed more than 3,000 students from over 20 nationalities, positioning itself as one of the world’s leading companies in the industry, with offices in Mexico, Spain, and Thailand.
