You\u2019re likely to be staying in Bangkok, so the first short trip you must do is to Ayutthaya. You will find the ruins of the old capital of the kingdom. Ayutthaya is about 80km outside of Bangkok and you can easily get there by train.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another great destination near the city of Bangkok is Pattaya. You can get to the beautiful beaches of Pattaya in small vans within two hours. There, you can either party during the night or visit the Truth Temple or the Big Buddha during the day.
