For many of you, this may be your first time in Asia, I\u2019ve spent my whole life here so I thought I\u2019d give you all a few tips on what to bring along with you for your internship here in Thailand.<\/p>\n

Thailand generally has a hot climate all year long, keep this in mind when you\u2019re packing your outfits.\u00a0 Though, if you are headed towards Chiang Mai, I suggest you pack some long-sleeved tops, jackets, cardigans, and long pants as it does get a little chilly in the evenings.<\/p>\n

To help you guys out, I decided I\u2019d compile a list of necessities for you to add in addition to the usual essentials while packing for Thailand:<\/p>\n

<\/div>[vc_column_text]1. First, let\u2019s begin with the Adaptor. Thailand\u2019s plug head\u2019s and outlets look like this:<\/p>\n

Make sure you pack your international adapter!<\/p>\n

<\/div>[vc_column_text]2. Sunscreen \u2013 Don\u2019t underestimate the power of the UV rays. Pack face & body sunscreen for everyday use.[\/vc_column_text]
<\/div>[vc_column_text]3. Hat\/Sunglasses \u2013 Again, it\u2019s extremely hot and sunny most days, make sure you pack these![\/vc_column_text]
<\/div>[vc_column_text]4. Bug Spray \u2013 You\u2019re in Asia, insects are everywhere! Though they are easily avoided, just make sure you carry bug spray everywhere with you, you need protection against all those mosquitos especially in the evenings![\/vc_column_text]
<\/div>[vc_column_text]5. Hiking shoes \u2013 There are quite a few hiking spots around the country, on your weekends or days off you may be able to explore so make sure you\u2019re well equipped if the opportunity for a hike arises![\/vc_column_text]
<\/div>[vc_column_text]6. Satchel (for girls) \u2013 Carry a bag that you can wear around yourself, it\u2019s more comfortable, safer, and all-around more convenient.[\/vc_column_text]

7. Grab Taxi App \u2013 Download this before you begin your trip! As soon as you land get yourself a Thai local sim card and register the number onto the app. You\u2019ll find this useful especially if you\u2019re in Bangkok to get around cheaply! You can use GrabBikes, GrabCars & GrabTaxis. Although taxis in Thailand are generally very safe, this would be your safest option if paranoia gets the better of you.<\/p>\n

<\/div>[vc_column_text]8. Rain Gear \u2013 An umbrella or raincoat, something to protect yourself from the rain, not that it happens very often, though it\u2019s best to be safe than sorry!<\/p>\n

Pick up a few words in Thai \u2013 Thailand is full of beautiful people and is extremely rich in culture, if you learn a little bit of Thai, the locals will show you the same level of respect and treat you like one of their own.
