Here at Worldwide Internships when you sign up for our international internship programs you will also sign up for an online Skype interview with a member of our recruitment team. “Why?” you might ask. There are multiple reasons that we love to have this first touchpoint with anyone interested in our programs. Here are some of them below:
1. We want to get to know you. We will likely be working with you for the next few months and supporting you throughout the duration of your internship. We like to learn as much about you as possible, to see what makes you tick and what makes you unique. This way we can work together closer and smoother going forward.
2. We want to see how we can help make your life and goals easier. In the interview, we will ask about your motivations for going abroad and what you are looking for in your experience. Then we will look at all the programs we offer and see if we are the best fit for what you are looking for. In some cases, we do not offer the countries or positions that you might be searching for. What is most important is that you are challenging yourself and taking on an international experience. This is something fundamental to what we believe at Worldwide. In the case that we are not the best fit, we will send you a recommendation of another agency that is a better fit for what you are looking for.
3. We want to answer your questions and solve any doubts you have. The interview is also space for you to ask us questions about our programs, policies, and processes. The one in one space is a comfortable environment to ask anything that you want. The more questions you have the better.
The interviews we run are not intimidating, in fact, they are very relaxed. The goal of our first interview is to for both of you to get to know us better and for us to get to know you better. We want you to feel comfortable as you get started in the process of finding your perfect internship!
