PROGRAMS & INVESTMENT

How can I schedule a call to get more information?
  • You can schedule a call through the Book a Consulting Call here, and after filling in your information, select any of our recruiters to select the schedule of your preference.
What’s the Eligibility? If I’m a graduate, can I still apply?
  • Currently enrolled in an educational institution, or recent graduate with a degree related with the internship program.
  • If you’ve graduated more than 12 months ago you’re still eligible for our USA & UAE & SPAIN Hospitality and the USA & SPAIN Professional programs.
  • Aged between 18 – 27 years old.
  • Be able to fulfill visa requirements depending on the destination.
  • Conversational level of Spanish, English or French, depending on the destination.
Do I need any language certification or exam score to apply?
  • No, you just need to have a conversational level which will be tested during your introduction interview with one of our recruiters for any of the languages required for your destinations.

Do you have more destinations that will open soon?
  • We currently have 8 destinations available for the hospitality program and 3 destinations available for the professional program only. However, we’re working hard to open more destinations as soon as possible, so keep refreshing!
Do you have summer programs?
  • No, we don’t do summer programs anymore, as the time frame is very short for you to acquire the desired level of professional experience within an internship.
Do you have a list of the companies that you have available?
  • We don’t have a list of companies due to privacy policies, however you can check our open vacancies here, and some of them display the company.
What’s included in the fees?
  • Your enrollment fee starts your process, and includes CV assessment, Interview training and a guaranteed-internship offer.
  • Your placement fee covers the placement process once you have received an internship offer, visa assistance, application follow-up, arrival orientation & ongoing, plus an internship certificate. For the U.S. program, the visa sponsorship and the insurance is also included.
Are my airplane tickets included?
  • No, airplane tickets are not included and we recommend you get them after your visa has been approved to avoid any inconvenience.
Is travel insurance included in the program?
  • The USA program is the only one that includes insurance.  You are welcome to get one on your own or choose the one we offer. For more details please visit: worldwideinternships.org/insurance
Can I negotiate the compensation offered during the interviews with the company?
  • Compensations are determined by the company and they are mentioned in the internship offer and most of the times they are not negotiable.
Can I cover my living costs with the stipend I receive?
  • In internships where you receive a stipend, it may help you cover lunch and local transportation. However, we encourage you to budget between 300USD – 500 USD per month for other leisure activities.
When and where do I have to pay?
  • As you’ve seen, we have two fees. The enrollment fee is paid once you’ve decided to start your process. The placement fee is paid maximum 2 days after you received and accepted your internship offer.
  • You can pay online (via PayPal), or bank transfer. Once the moment comes, we’ll provide you with the necessary information.
Can I defer my payment?
  • You can defer your placement fee.
  • If you pay with a credit card you can defer your payment through Paypal with a 22% interest rate.
  • We also have a payment plan if you enroll with at least 6 months in advance of your starting date. Please contact your recruiter or mention it when you book a call to receive more information.

VISA & VACCINATION

Important: Visa Restrictions
  • Visa restrictions vary depending on nationality and preferred destinations, you must check beforehand, and we can help you during the consultation call. We do apologize if some of our programs are not available for your specific case, we adjust to visa regulations on each destination.
Do you process my visa?
  • No, all visa process is a personal procedure. However, we assist you by providing you with the information requested by the embassy, the type of visa, the documents required, processing time and the cost.
  • We will also provide you with the formats such as university agreement, recommendation letters, employment letters, and other related documents. We will review your documents to ensure their correct submission to the embassy.
  • You must be aware that the visa process is independent to the internship placement process, and thus visa acceptance cannot be guaranteed.
For the USA program: What is a visa sponsor? Why does it cost so much? Can I only use my current U.S. Visa?
  • All nationalities (except U.S. citizens) require a J1 visa with a sponsorship package for the program to take place. It is a fee paid to an extension of the U.S. government, the price is not determined by us. You cannot use other types of visa.
What happens if my visa is denied?
  • If your visa is denied you must apply for a second time after we have reviewed all your application documents again. If you decide not to do so, no refund will apply.
What happens if I am not vaccinated or the FDA/WHO does not approve my COVID vaccines?
  • Having a complete vaccination schedule is one of the main requirements for traveling nowadays. However, if you are not vaccinated or you don’t have an approved vaccine you must be aware of the requirements you may need to follow such as quarantines, negative COVID tests, mandatory quarantine, recovery tests, among others before you’re travel.
  • In the case of not having an approved vaccine, we recommend you try to get an approved complete vaccination scheme.
Can I travel during my internship?
  • You are required to notify your host-company of any traveling, and you are strictly prohibited to walk-out of the company without letting them know. It is your responsibility to check the visa restrictions regarding traveling outside the country, as some visas might not allow you to come back once you’ve left the country.

THE INTERNSHIP PROCESS

What’s the process to get an internship?
  • Choose the programs you’re interested in
  • Book a call to confirm your eligibility
  • Pay the enrollment fee and submit your documents
  • Receive your internship offer
  • Apply for your visa.
When should I apply?
  • You can apply up to 12 months in advance. We encourage you to apply 3 to 6 months before your desired starting date.
When is my enrollment process completed?
  • Once you upload all of the documents listed on your acceptance letter and you submit your enrollment fee payment receipt.
Can I extend my program while I’m away?
  • Yes, however it depends on the visa and your profile. It will also depend on the company you’re doing your internship at.
Do I send my documents via WhatsApp or mail?
  • WhatsApp and e-mail are great means of communication, but all your documents must be submitted in the links we provide.
Do you assist with university accreditation?
  • Yes, we do assist with all the documents requested by your university to get accreditation. The host companies are also aware that they may need to fill out evaluations during and after the internship for your university.
Can I choose the company?
  • For Hospitality Spain, you can select your top 5 companies from the host companies available.
  • For other destinations, you can visit the vacancies document and select your top 3 or top 5 options from there.
Can I choose the city?
  • You can let us know your preferences and we will do our best to place you in that particular place, however, we ask you to be open to other opportunities and consider that we cannot guarantee an specific city because it depends directly on the company’s process.
How long does it take to get an offer?
  • The average time to receive an offer is 4 weeks after the placement process begins. However, it varies a lot depending on your profile, available vacancies, destination, and time of application.
How does the time-limit for the guarantee work?
  • We guarantee that you will receive an internship offer in a maximum of 12 weeks. In case you reach week 12 and you still did not receive an offer, you will have the option to get a refund or keep on going with the process.
Can I rotate positions while I’m at the internship?
  • You apply directly to one position only during your entire internship. The company’s position might have you rotating through different departments.
What are the minimum hours I need to work and on which days? How many free days will I have?
  • You apply directly to one position only during your entire internship. The company’s position might have you rotating through different departments.The average usually is 32-40 hours per week, with at least 1 day off per week. You will most likely have a rotational schedule (not always Mon-Sat), it depends on the company and your position if you rest for one or two days at weekends or on another weekday.
